Team Training Rides & Race Schedule
Informal training rides start as early as March depending on the weather. Formal adult and junior training rides start in April each year. A helmet must be worn on all training rides.

Junior Training Rides
Beginning Junior Riders
Location: Park near Rosebud Cemetary. Rides use Rio Grande Trail
Day: Monday evenings
Time: Ride rolls at 6:00 pm
Ride Type: Small groups of riders are chaperoned by adult racers and riders. Training focuses include bike handling, rules of the road, and overall riding skills. Rides last about 60-90 minuets.

Adult Race Training Ride
Location: Meet at the Storm King Trailhead. Take the South Canyon exit off I-70. Turn right and follow road to trailhead. Alternate meeting place is City Market parking lot in New Castle. Join the ride as it rolls by.
Day: Every Tuesday evening starting in mid-April weather & daylight permitting.
Time: Ride rolls at 5:30 pm
Ride Type: Fast tempo to race pace. Approximately 38 miles of rolling roads from Storm King Trailhead to Rifle and back. Rides last about 2+ hours.

Location: Bill's House-1609 Orchard Ave., Silt, Colorado
Day: Wednesday evenings
Time: Ride rolls at 6:00 pm
Ride Type: Small groups of riders are chaperoned by adult racers and riders. Training focuses include bike handling, rules of the road, pack riding skills, cornering, and overall fitness. Rides last about 90 minuets.
